Park, Hu and Gill Awarded Gold at McCleery Golf Course  

Vancouver, BC (May 20, 2013) – Alex Park, David Hu and Lana Gill were able to claim top spots in each of their respective divisions. The three Vancouver golfers were able to take their first CJGA wins of the 2013 season. McCleery Golf Course acted as a qualifier for the Euro Junior Golf Cup and as a Team West qualifier for the Canada Cup.


Li, Giantsopoulos, McLaughlin, Zhu and Boyd Take Gold at Rolling Hills  

Stouffville, ON (May 20, 2013) – Rolling Hills Golf Club made for an exciting day of golf as Junior Linksters posted fantastic scores. Most notable was Daniel Li of Toronto, who carded 5 birdies and an eagle on 13, giving him a 69 (-3) for his round giving him a well deserved first place in the Boys 9-10 division. This win gives Li his third CJGA win.


Ramnauth, Racioppa and Anderson newest Nike Golf Junior Series Winners  

Sharon, ON (May 20, 2013) – The Nike Golf Junior Series at Pheasant Run ended in an exciting playoff between Melissa Ramnauth (King City) and Sydney Lia (Timmins). After excellent approach shots from both golfers, the title of Girls champion came down to a putting match. After sinking her putt and making a birdie on a par 5 Ramnauth would be rewarded with gold.


Second Junior Linkster Event set to Take Place at Rolling Hills Golf Club  

Stouffville, ON (May 17, 2013) – Junior Linksters will storm the Rolling Hills Golf Club for their second event of the season. A field of talented and well seasoned juniors will take to the 4,010 yard Classic Course, promising to offer golfers challenging targets. The smaller greens will require juniors to pull out their irons and test their short game ability. A warm sunny day is predicted, to ensure juniors are ready to shine as they battle for top spots.


AJGA TO PARTNER WITH CANADIAN JUNIOR GOLF ASSOCIATION  

BRASELTON, Ga. – The American Junior Golf Association, in conjunction with the Canadian Junior Golf Association, will conduct an AJGA Open event in London, Ontario, in 2013. The event will run August 12-15 at Greenhills Golf Club and the field will include equal participation from AJGA and CJGA members.


Juniors get set for Nike Golf Junior Series at Pheasant Run  

Sharon, ON (May 16, 2013) – The Nike Golf Junior Series will take place at Pheasant Run this upcoming weekend. A field of 50 talented golfers are set to compete for gold, in order to earn qualifications for the Nike Golf Junior Championship later in August at Smuggler’s Glen Golf Course. The rolling terrain, natural forests and larger greens are distinct qualities of Pheasant’s Run. Winners in each respective division, in addition to earning a spot at the Nike Golf Junior Championship, will be awarded valuable points on the CJGA National Order of Merit.


McCleery Golf Course set to Challenge Junior Golfers  

Vancouver, BC (May 16, 2013) – McCleery Golf Course will play host to a field of 40 golfers this upcoming weekend; 14 girls, 13 Boys 15-19 and 13 Boys 14 & Under will compete for top spots in their respective divisions. The winner of each division will qualify for the Euro Junior Golf Cup and Team West in Canada Cup.


Vandette, James and Lacombe Beat Out Competition at Quebec Junior Open  

Sainte-Sophie, QC (May 13, 2013) – Club de Golf Val des Lacs, played host to the Quebec Junior Open, where a full field of golfers competed against each other and rainy conditions to claim top spots. After two cold and windy days of competition, Tristan Vandette, Austin James and Annie Lacombe were awarded gold.


Golfers Battle Extreme Weather at CJGA Junior Worlds Qualifier  

Gormley, Ont. (May 12, 2013)— After a mild first day of competition, the second day at the CJGA Junior Worlds Qualifier looked like a round at the British Open. The golfers grinded out extreme course conditions as two weather-delays because of hailstorms, freezing weather and high winds challenged the participants at Station Creek Golf Club.


Golfers Beat out Mother Nature’s Hail and Strong Winds in Oakville  

Oakville, ON (May 13, 2013) – The Ontario Junior Linkster season opener was a true test for all the golfers that were able to withstand the hail, wind and freezing temperatures. Lachlan O’Hara, Shawn Sehra, Elaine Surjoprajogo, Taylor Kehoe and Andre Zhu were the golfers who were able to defeat the challenges that Mother Nature set out for them and defeat their respective fields.
